Between Moab, Utah, and Lake Powell, the Green and Colorado Rivers flow through some of the most dramatic
canyons in the west. The red rock cliffs, sculpted sandstone formations, and unusual erosian patterns reveal
a colorful landscape or fantastic proportions and incredible beauty. Our river trips will take you behind
the rocks and into the remote reaches of Canyonlands National Park that are otherwise inaccesible to most visitors.
Daily activities include off-river hiking excursions to dramatic viewpoints, visits to ancient Indian ruins and
rock art sites, and side canyon explorations. The famous whitewater rapids of Cataract Canyon add an exciting and
exhilarating dimension to the overall adventure.
Westwater Canyon is located on the upper Colorado River near the Utah-Colorado border. Known for its rollicking rapids
and polished black Pre-Cambrian rock formations, Westwater also offers unique wildlife viewing opportunities, lovely riverside camps
and incredible landscapes.
This trip provides participants with an opportunity to see some spectacular country, experience some rapids, and enjoy the
special feeling of getting back in touch with the natural world.
