Grand Canyon Rafting

Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting

Rafting the Grand Canyon is the best adventure vacation in the world. For nearly 300 miles, the Colorado River flows freely through a mile-deep gorge of ever-changing views and vistas, revealing the history of the earth in its multi-colored layers of rock. The rapids are legendary, ranging from playful "riffles" to "big and splashy" to "absolutely thrilling!" Side canyon hiking and off-river exploration will take you to places of wonder, where you can frolic in waterfalls, swim in turquoise pools, stand amazed upon scenic overlooks, or relish the cooling shade of hidden grottos. The recommended minimum age is 12 years old.

Our Grand Canyon rafting equipment consists of custom designed 37-foot motorized rafts, 18-foot rowing rigs, and 16 foot paddle rafts. We offer motorized expeditions through the entire Grand Canyon from Lee's Ferry to Lake Mead. Our 11-day non-motorized rowing and paddle trips start at Lee's Ferry and end at Whitmore Wash. The full canyon motor trips and 11-day rowing and paddle trips include round-trip transportation from Las Vegas. View our Grand Canyon Rafting Slideshow.

The Grand Canyon is home to diverse plant and wildlife communities. Because of our commitment to off-river hiking in conjunction with every rafting expedition, we know our guests see places and do things that most other Grand Canyon rafting travelers miss.

If you are already signed up for one of our Grand Canyon whitewater rafting expeditions you may want to view our list of books for river runners. We have a large selection of field guides, archaeology books, river maps, and other related subjects.

PLEASE NOTE: In an effort to meet the demand for rafting trips in the Grand Canyon, the National Park Service has imposed a "no repeat" rule. Visitors may not take more than one Grand Canyon river trip, commercial or private, in the same calendar year. The rule will be strictly enforced. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this notice, please contact our office.

Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting

Lee's Ferry to Whitmore Wash
190 Miles - 11 days

Get into the rythym of the Colorado River on our Grand Canyon rowing and/or paddle whitewater rafting trips. Drift peacefully through calm water stretches, and then feel the force and power of the river as the rafts are propelled through tumultuous rapids. We offer a "strictly paddle" rafting expedition with motorized support, and a "totally non-motorized" oar/paddle combination river trip. On the "strictly paddle" trip, a motor support raft carries all the gear and equipment. Participants join our paddle boat guides in smaller "people powered" rafts. This is the ideal river rafting adventure for those who prefer doing to viewing. On the "non-motorized" expedition we use 18-foot rowing rigs with professional guides at the oars. These rafts accomodate 4-5 passengers, plus gear. We also take one or two paddle rafts that are available on a rotation basis for guests who want to experience the excitement and challenge of paddling on a part time basis. Our standard transportation package includes pre-trip deluxe motor coach from Las Vegas to Lee's Ferry. The end-of-trip transportation, includes a helicopter transfer from river to rim and a charter flight back to Las Vegas.
