Grand Canyon Photography Workshop with Tom Till, May 2-12, 2014

Colorado River Grand Canyon National Park

Colorado River & Trail Expeditions is pleased to host this special 11-day Grand Canyon photography workshop with Tom Till, one of the foremost landscape photographers in the country. Although he has traveled the world and photographed thousands of amazing sights on every continent, Tom's "home base" is Moab, Utah, and he never tires of photographing the spectacular canyons of the Colorado Plateau. "The Grand Canyon never disappoints," he says, "and it's almost impossible to make a bad photo regardless of your experience." But going with a professional of Tom's caliber and learning to "see" as he does, will elevate your photos from "not bad," to "wow!" The workshop is limited to TEN participants. We will provide detailed trip planning information and a suggested equipment list with your confirmation.

The Basic Itinerary
Meet Tom in Las Vegas on the evening of May 1, and then enjoy a scenic charter flight to Marble Canyon, Az. the morning of May 2nd. Land workshop at Marble Canyon, with overnight lodging included. Begin the rafting trip the morning of May 3 at historic Lees Ferry, Az. and continue for 9 days/8 nights to Whitmore Wash (May 11), where you transfer by helicopter to the Bar Ten Ranch on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Photograph the canyon from remote rim overlooks. Overnight at the ranch included. Return to Las Vegas on May 12 via scenic charter flight.

The Rafting Trip
During the 9-day river trip, Tom will share all of his favorite places and photo techniques to help you create a portfolio of fabulous Grand Canyon images. Each new day is full of fun, excitement, and adventure as you run the biggest rapids on the Colorado River and hike in extraordinary side canyons. Surprising views and vistas appear around each bend of the river and at the end of every hike! The river guides will keep you fueled with delicious meals and hearty snacks. Convenient waterproof storage is available for your equipment. Please contact the CRATE office for additional information or to make a reservation. 800-253-7328 or crate@crateinc.com.

What Others Say About Tom Till

"Tom is a craftsman and an artist who's been around for a long time. Not someone who picked up a digital camera six months ago and decided he was a master." Yelp
