Don't let the name "Desolation Canyon," fool you. The only thing desolate about
this rafting vacation, is the fact that it is far-removed from town and traffic! It's an amazing
river trip that anyone and everyone can enjoy, from young children to teenagers
to active adults and laid back adventurers. The Green River flows through a deep, colorful
canyon, with dozens of moderate rapids and rifles. You will see ancient rock art
panels, explore the remains of old homesteads and ranches, and watch for herds
of wild horses and desert bighorn sheep. Camp by the river on spacious beaches
where you can build sand castles, play horse shoes and volleyball, or simply relax and
enjoy the view.
Through Grey Canyon participants will have an opportunity to view Indian petroglyphs, run a few rapids, and enjoy the
special feeling of getting back in touch with the natural world.
